What kind of box do I need?

Too often that isn't the question that is asked.  Most of the time buyers lead with "make me this box."  And most of the time that's fine, but too often our designers take a look at the box design and think of several ways to make it better or more cost effective.

Where we make the most improvements design wise is when I find out what exactly is being shipped, how it's shipped, and why they the customer thinks a certain design is best.

So the short I mean long version on "what box should i use" is best answered by:
1)Having a sample of the product being shipped, that I can leave with our design team.  Reason: This is way easier than working off of a CAD drawing and actually speeds up the process since we can test it out in-house before we send it to you.

2)Let me know how many you are using per order, per month, or year whatever is easiest.  Reason: It helps in determining what machine we will run it on.

3)How its being shipped? i.e. kicked off the back of one of those BROWN trucks, or sent via LTL

4)When you need them by?  Reason: One upon every time we needed something yesterday and with our manufacturing system we can design boxes a certain way to make sure they can go on certain presses that are not busy to help with lead times.

5)Warehousing environment i.e. are they stacked 4 high in transit and 8 high in the warehouse.  Reason:  This will help in picking board strength

6)Letting me know your feelings on what would work the best.   Reason: The customer is always right! Plus you may know from prior history what kind of carton your guys on the line prefer.

7) Calling Ryan the Box Guy!

I'll will continually update you with the different kind of boxes we manufacture and what applications they are usually used in
